Chrome Extension Name: Internet Usage Research

This browser extension has been developed by CVA Analytics exclusively for use by University of Lausanne in support of their social science internet usage research initiatives. The extension collects anonymized browsing data, specifically visited URLs and corresponding timestamps, only from users who have explicitly provided consent.
The collected data is intended solely for use in approved educational and behavioral internet research studies conducted by University of Lausanne and its affiliated researchers.

2. What We Collect

When active, the extension captures:

URLs of websites you visit

The timestamp of each visit

Title of the webpage

An identifier (userid set my Qualtrics survey you take)

QNO (question number based on Qualtrics survey you are currently answering)

No page content, passwords, form data, or keystrokes are collected.
3. How the Data is Used

Collected data is used exclusively for academic research and is:

Uploaded securely to a server located in University of Lausanne

Anonymized where applicable

Not shared, sold, or used for commercial purposes

Only authorized researchers at University of Lausanne or their affiliated institutions have access.

Storage: To store your userid/question no locally (never transmitted elsewhere unless specified)
